Residencia Espavel
Espavel is a residential project located in Alajuela, Costa Rica. The concept focuses on adapting the architecture to the site’s topography while creating a protected and intimate living environment. Earthy materials, neutral tones, and open layouts enhance the connection with nature, maximizing natural light and views.
The spatial organization separates social and private areas, allowing residents to move through the house intuitively and customize their experience according to their needs.

Concept
The project is built around spatial clarity and comfort. Public areas flow seamlessly into outdoor spaces, while private zones remain protected and discreet. The design balances openness and privacy, creating a calm, secure, and adaptable home environment.
My Role & Responsibilities:
Creative direction and architectural concept development
Client communication and project coordination from start to delivery
Interior design decisions, including furniture selection and styling
Oversight of visual and spatial coherence across all areas
Collaboration with BIB Design Studio throughout the process
